Hampton Inn Seattle-Airport

The hotel is clean and the bathrooms have been renovated. A bit noisy with the planes, and the building overall seems outdated compared to the Hampton down the road. They also charge $15 for parking, whereas the other Hampton parking is free and in the basement. I'm only giving 2 stars though because the lady at the desk (I believe her name was Tian) was plainly unprofessional. When we arrived, she was leaning on the counter on her phone and didn't acknowledge us. No friendliness during the check in process, which made me feel like we were a burden to her. When I came back to the desk for a shampoo bottle since my room was missing one, she was nowhere to be seen. The friendly bus driver came in and helped me though. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that doesn't mean she has to be cold to the paying customers. Overall, consider booking at the other hampton nearby.

If you are looking for a bed for a night for a over night layover, this hotel may be acceptable. It is very close to the airport. I would suggest using Uber to get there from the airport. The hotel shuttle is unpredictable in the evening, even when calling. I was only in the hotel for 12 hours. The desk staff was competent for check-in, but I would not say friendly. Upon check-in, I would encourage you to verify the hours of breakfast. They ended breakfast at 9 am, not the expected 10 am for Hilton properties without hotel restaurants. The air temperature unit in my room was loud when turning on. The bathroom, seemed clean. I would not suggest for business travelers if you are staying prior to a meeting. My room did not have a closet to hang clothes. The elevator also gave me pause. The 1 floor button did not work until the door shut. There are many other Hilton properties in the SEATAC area to choose from. I am a diamond member and stay at many Hilton properties. I would not recommend this hotel.

So I just checked out today (11/13) & I found 2 live bedbugs in my room. When my partner called to report this to corporate, all they said was "we stayed the duration of our stay and checked out without problems". I definitely reported the bedbugs to the front desk staff and they came in and saw the one I killed in the bathroom. Please don't stay here in the immediate future if you also want to wash ALL of your laundry & other cloth items immediately after getting home. Besides the disgusting bedbugs, we had 3 wet spots in our carpet, one of which stayed wet the entire 5 days we were there. The breakfast was also light in options, but at least the juice was tasty.

If you're looking to be pampered, this isn't the place However, if you're looking for a night or two near the airport without breaking the bank, this would probably fit the bill. Pretty quiet considering the location. Breakfast unpretentious, but adequate. Rooms a little smallish, weird "closet" layout, but workable. City-owned park with some lakefront immediately across the street. Not much for eateries in immediate walking distance, but plenty of delivery options in the area. Can't speak to the wifi, I had a strong 5G ultra signal (Verizon), so never hooked to the hotel network.
